Fruit Pizza

Crust:

Mix in a large bowl:

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 2/3 cup shortening

  • 1 egg

  • ½ tsp. vanilla

  • 4 tbsp. milk

  • ¼ tsp. salt

  • 1 ½ tsp. baking powder

  • 2 cups flour

With floured hands, press dough into a jelly roll pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 15 min. (note that crust will NOT be golden brown DO NOT OVER BAKE) and let cool. In a medium bowl mix:

  • 8 oz. of softened cream cheese and one 8 oz. container of cool whip till smooth and spread on cooled crust.

  • Add and arrange drained crushed pineapple (1 20oz. can)

  • Add and arrange 1 large can and 1 small can of drained sliced peaches in light syrup

  • Add and arrange at least 2 pints of fresh strawberries halved and more if you like

  • Add and arrange 3 ½ bananas sliced

Glaze:

In a sauce pan heat and bring to a boil:

  • ½ cup sugar

  • ¾ cup of orange juice

  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch

  • 2 tbsp, reconstituted lemon juice

Drizzle over fruit.

At this time I add 1 container of Marie’s strawberry glaze

I usually microwave it for about 30 sec. so that I can drizzle some of it over the fruit for color.

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream.

Sensational!!!!
