Nan's Pound Cake

  • 3 sticks butter

  • 3 cups sugar

  • 1 cup milk

  • 5 large eggs

  • 3 1/2 cups cake flour

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp. orange extract

  • 2 tsp. baking powder

  • 1 tsp. lemon extract

Cream butter and sugar to whipped cream consistency. Add eggs one at a time and cream thoroughly. Add flavorings. Add sifted ingredients w/milk. Start with flour and end with flour - mix thoroughly. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes then turn over to 325 degrees for an additional 15-20 minutes.
