Nan's Pound Cake

3 sticks butter

3 cups sugar

1 cup milk

5 large eggs

3 1/2 cups cake flour

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. orange extract

2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. lemon extract
Cream butter and sugar to whipped cream consistency. Add eggs one
at a time and cream thoroughly. Add flavorings. Add sifted
ingredients w/milk. Start with flour and end with flour - mix
thoroughly. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and bake at 350
degrees for 50 minutes then turn over to 325 degrees for an
additional 15-20 minutes. |
