Christmas Church Cookies

Ingredients:

• !/2 cup shortening
• 3 oz. cream cheese softened
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla
• 1 cup flour
• tint the cookies green if desired

Blend in mixer on low speed and fill cookie press or cookie shooter with mixture using a small star plate.  In a circular motion form cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet making  a small wreath ( you may have to push cookie dough together to make the wreaths).  Bake for 8 to 10 min. on 375 degrees and remove and let cool.  If you like you can add 3 dots of red icing to each cookie to make the berries for the wreath.  These days I don't fool with that part and just make them plain and uncolored.  It's all about the taste anyway!

They are light and melt in your mouth!
