German Red Cabbage Salad

Cut 1 Large head of red cabbage into quarters and core.  Finely slice the cabbage into a large bowl. Add 1/4 chopped large sweet onion.  I use Vidalia's.  

Add about 1/2 cup of vegetable oil and about 3/4 cup red wine vinegar( start with less if you think it's too much).  Salt and Pepper to taste and that's it!  How easy!

Taste it to be sure all the ingredients are correct and let sit at least an hour before serving.

Refreshingly different and plain, but so good!
