Pork Chops with Apple-maple Glaze

  • 1/4 cup real maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup apple butter
  • 1/2 tsp. ground mustard
  • 4 pork bone in loin chops or French style rib chops 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder and black pepper blend
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Turn on grill to high.  In a small sauce pan heat the first 3 ingredients and cook over low heat for a few min.  Sprinkle pork chops with garlic, pepper and salt on both sides.  Place chops on the grill on medium heat and brush with glaze turning 2 or 3 times and brushing each time to the total of about 12 min. or until no longer pink when cut near the bone.

Absolutely delicious!  I serve mine with fried dill potatoes:  Boiled new potatoes in the skin, drained, peeled and sliced into frying pan with 1 stick of butter and 1 tsp. of dill weed and salt to taste.  Fry till golden brown.  A nice red cabbage salad, recipe #42, finishes off the meal.

ENJOY!!
